Mission
Statement
TriStar serves the local church to enlist, empower and engage Christian
professionals in strategic international projects that facilitate church-planting
within least-reached communities.
Vision Statement
The vision is to build a national network of Christian professionals who
will use their talents, skills and resources to touch least-reached communities
worldwide.
Ministry Philosophy
The ministry philosophy is based on the conviction that Christian professionals
are poised to use their skills to greatly enhance the capacity of the church
to influence least-reached communities through a holistic expression of
the gospel.
Ministry Values
1. We value work as a vocation intended to reflect Gods glory
through the Spirit-inspired use of ones talents, skills and resources.
2. We value worship as the worldwide goal of seeking out those whom
God has invited to adore him forever.
3.We value witness as the believer's holistic expression of the gospel through
both word and deed to those who need Christ.
4.We value willingness as a persons openness to Gods leading
while maintaining balance with family, church, work and global commitments.
Ministry Role
1.Support the overall mission of Christar to plant churches within least-reached
communities worldwide.
2. Assist churches in mobilizing their congregations for ministry within
least-reached countries.
3. Facilitate the restoration of interest in missions among Christian
professionals by creating a favorable environment for their involvement.
4. Promote the TriStar ministry among professional associations and other
stakeholders.
5. Create platforms for the development of strategies that include professional
involvement as a viable component of missions strategy.
6. Provide an integrated system of programs, products and services to achieve
the TriStar mission.
Mode of Operation
Our mode of operation will be as follows as we develop a network of Christian
professionals ready to engage in strategic international ministry projects:
1. We will enlist Christian professionals by sharing with them the vision
and mission of TriStar through one-on-one meetings, city-wide events, pulpit
responsibilities, interviews on Christian media and other exposure activities.
2. We will organize them into working groups according to their professional
expertise.
3. We will provide them with appropriate cross-cultural and ministry training
to supplement their professional experience as they support church-planting
efforts within least-reached communities.
4. We will engage them where their talents, skills and resources will be
fully utilized in projects affecting strategic communities.
5. We will provide orientation and field support needed to enable them to
have the most effective impact while they are in the field.
6. We will provide follow up activities to translate their field experience
into an ongoing involvement with the TriStar effort.
7. We will hold public events to celebrate what God has done through their
participation.
Ministry Distinctives
1. We encourage Christian professionals to view their vocation as an opportunity
to fulfill Gods calling on their lives to reflect his glory through
their work.
2. We believe that Christian professionals have a tremendous potential to
expand the churchs capacity for global missions.
3. We promote a holistic expression of the gospel through international
development as a demonstration of Christs love for all people.
4. We affirm the work of long-term missionaries engaged in church-planting
within least-reached communities and desire to enhance their efforts through
professional assistance.
5. We mobilize Christian professionals and equip them for effective international
ministry projects.
6. We create a collegial environment conducive for Christian professionals
to engage in strategic ministry opportunties.
7. We create national platforms for the exchange of ideas and international
strategies as a way of restoring the interest of missions among Christian
professionals.
8. We provide a flexible, integrated system of programs, products and services
to support the involvement of Christian professionals in efforts that affect
least-reached communities.
9. We encourage the transmitting to others of what Christian professionals
have learned during their time in the field as a deposit of sacred trust.
10. We affirm the Christian professional who sets aside time from his
busy schedule to engage in ministry events so others can come to a saving
knowledge of Christ.
